Slow Cinema employs the medium of film to enhance the knowledge of our environment, food system and production methods. Film mobilizes critical reflection and challenges our perceptions, inspiring us to actively pursue social change. The aim of our films are to further enhance knowledge of terrestrial
and marine ecosystems; to think openly about the effects of food both on and off screen; and to meet like minded people in a casual atmosphere. Slow Food Barbados partners with The Barbados Independent Film Festival each year in the production of a "Cine Cuisine" event, some of the islands best chefs thematically pair local produce with local and international film in a night under the stars that is not to be missed.
